Vinte e seis pessoas deram entrada no Hospital Regional de Vilhena (RO), na noite de sábado (29), após ficarem feridas na colisão frontal entre um ônibus e uma carreta. Um dos médicos escalados para socorrer as vítimas contou que a chegada dos feridos no hospital foi uma das “cenas mais chocantes” que ele viu ao longo da carreira.

“Em 40 anos como médico nunca vi nada igual. Parecia uma guerra, de tantos feridos no hospital”, afirma o médico.
A colisão entre a carreta e o ônibus aconteceu na BR-364, a mais de 50 quilômetros da área urbana de Vilhena. Seis pessoas morreram no acidente, segundo a Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF).
(ATUALIZAÇÃO: Inicialmente, PRF informou que 25 pessoas ficaram feridas. Mais tarde, a corporação socorreu um 26º sobrevivente. A reportagem foi atualizada às 10h05.)
Por causa do grave acidente, a Secretaria Municipal de Saúde (Semus) convocou uma força-tarefa de profissionais de saúde, que conta com 15 médicos, para atender os feridos do acidente.
Até por volta de 0h deste sábado (29), três pessoas haviam passado por cirurgia. Os demais que deram entrada no pronto-socorro, segundo o secretário municipal de Saúde, Afonso Emerick, estão sendo atendidos e não apresentam risco de morte.
Ao menos 26 feridos no acidente deram entrada no Hospital Regional de Vilhena, sendo seis crianças e duas gestantes.
Como foi o acidente?
No momento do acidente chovia forte na BR-364. O ônibus da empresa Bruna Turismo seguia sentido Porto Velho, com dezenas de passageiros, quando acabou batendo de frente com a carreta que seguia na pista oposta, sentido Vilhena.
Bombeiros foram chamados até o local para socorrer as vítimas, mas algumas delas já estavam mortas quando a equipe chegou. Entre as vítimas fatais estão dois motoristas do ônibus, o motorista do caminhão e a esposa dele, além de uma criança do sexo feminino.
