O governo de Rondônia ordenou nesta quinta-feira, 6 de fevereiro, o recolhimento de dezenas de livros das bibliotecas das escolas, entre eles clássicos da literatura brasileira, como Macunaíma (de Mário de Andrade), Agosto (Rubem Fonseca) e Os Sertões (Euclides da Cunha). A alegação era de que as obras tinham “conteúdos inadequados às crianças e adolescentes”. O governo chegou a negar a existência do documento, mas depois passou a alegar que o secretário de Educação não o assinou.
O Estado de S. Paulo teve acesso ao memorando no início da tarde, que incluía uma lista com 43 livros brasileiros que deveriam ser “entregues ao Núcleo do Livro Didático” da Secretaria Estadual da Educação. O texto estava em nome do secretário de Educação, Suamy Lacerda de Abreu, mas a assinatura eletrônica no sistema era da diretora de Educação do órgão, Irany de Oliveira Lima Morais, terceira na hierarquia da pasta. Irany foi procurada por meio de uma assessora, mas não retornou o contato. O secretário também não respondeu às ligações.
Professores e outros funcionários da rede conseguiram acessar o documento, datado de ontem, no sistema interno do governo, meio pelo qual os comunicados são feitos atualmente. No entanto, às 14h15, o memorando foi tornado “restrito” e não era mais possível visualizar seu conteúdo.
O governador de Rondônia é o Coronel Marcos Rocha (PSL), que já foi chefe do Centro de Inteligência da Polícia Militar do estado e secretário municipal de Educação da capital, Porto Velho. Professores que falaram com a reportagem pediram para não terem seus nomes publicados por medo de perseguição. “As coordenadorias receberam mensagens já pedindo para que os livros fossem separados porque passariam para recolher”, conta um deles. “O governo aqui é diretamente ligado à ideia do presidente Bolsonaro, só se fala em militarização das escolas.”
Outros professores disseram que os livros já haviam sido inclusive colocados em caxias para serem recolhidos, a pedido das coordenadorias de Educação. A carta do secretário era justamente dirigidas aos coordenadores regionais.
Integrantes do governo chegaram a dizer que o documento tratava-se de “fake news”, mas depois não confirmaram oficialmente essa resposta. A lista de livros incluía ainda Memórias Póstumas de Brás Cubas, de Machado de Assis, e A Vida como ela é e Beijo no Asfalto, de Nelson Rodrigues. Dezoito livros de Rubem Fonseca e sete de Carlos Heitor Cony também foram considerados impróprios, como O Seminarista e Mil e Uma Noites.
